Now I have a question...what are all the things considered bad luck? I know...it'll take hours and it'd be much easier if I borrowed the book of superstitions...but...I really want to know. I didn't quite get to everything the day you left the book in my care for a while.

For starters lets debunk some of the well "known" causes of bad luck.
1) Friday the 13th
Lets be honest here, Friday the 13th is only bad for people in Jason movies. OR the people who inspired the movie with the history of Friday the 13th. Back in one of those many centuries ago, back when the war of the roses and the Crusades took place, there was this humble group of men and women who would not surrender to the people who were part of the crusades. I forget the name the date later reciveded in history but there was a massacure. A single horseman (from the catlotic church) killed this group of people in cold blood with his sword while on horseback. From a personal stand point, Friday the 13th has NEVER been a bad day for me.
2) Black cats
Until te 19th century black cats were considered a good omen and brought with them life, happiness and health. It was extremely good luck to pet a black cat. In every country in the world (except the USA) black cats are still considered to be the most lucky. White cats are more unlucky than black.
3) Walking under ladders
Nothing bad ever happened to me from walking under a ladder. HOWEVER, bad things did happen to those around me when I walked under a ladder. I think this superstition came about by how much of a risk there is to the person on the ladder of it falling, or the risk of the person on the ladder dropping something on your head.
4) Stepping on a crack.
If you step on a crack I can assure you, it will no break your mothers back. Perhaps you run the risk of falling and hurting yourself.
5) Opening an umbrella indoors
This is supposed to bring about storms if you do this. OR increase the chance that lighting will strike near you. As far as I know there is no truth to that. In personal tests, nothing happened except I got poked in the eye with the metal end.
Now for what really causes bad luck. Back in the old days, many moons ago (And I dont mean last week) It was thought that bad luck was brought about by angering the god(s). True enough it seemed that satanists had the worst luck ever and in the Salem witch hunt the non-christians were persicuted. However, we dont worry with that today.
If you made someone of royal or witch/warlock decsent angry with you, they could cause your bad luck in a number of ways. Casting spells is one way and the sheer look they can give you would make you have horrid luck. Even in todays day and age, people tend to be friendly rather than unfriendly towards those they dont know. And sometimes it could happen without them knowing it.
If you desicrate a corpes or a graveyard, that is supposed to be bad luck along with the theory that a herse is bad luck. If A herse crosses the path of a wedding then the groom is supposed to die early.
Looking in a mirror wearing your wedding dress and everything else BEFORE the wedding.
Mirrors are bad luck because they show reflections. Some think its reflections of the soul. Hints why a vampire will cast no reflection.
If a crow caws 3 times in your presence or near the house where someone is sick its a death omen.
clipping your toenails on friday
Cutting your hair on Friday
I will finish this and go into detail if you need it. rp for your matches and keep those questions coming.
